I strongly believe that formal education can do a lot more than what they are doing now. I never advocate for students to drop out, because of the fact that a large number of people out there are living because of their formal education and certificates.īut I had no option but to drop the course because it was bleeding my time off.įrom there onwards I have been into multiple courses, not for certificates, but to learn, learn for my growth. And I realized that the most productive time that I should use to learn these have been taken by the campus activities, and I decided to drop formal education.įrom there it was a marathon running of learning and gaining experiences. all alone - a solo project.ĭuring those lockdown days, I learned a lot of things, things that are not available in books. This process was so exciting for me and I remember of thinking and drawing these ideas in my school books. □ I never imagined that my journey, which started with tweaking games, would lead me to tinkering with entire operating systems. □ On that 256 MB RAM computer, where Windows 7 struggled to run, I deployed "Windows 8 - The Ejas Version" □ □ Then, I manually customized my Ubuntu desktop to mimic the Windows 8 look – home page, icons, menu bars, and the overall experience as much as I could with the armours that I had then. Instead of using ready-made icons, I decided to draw them all. I remembered the ones from the Windows 8 preview and searched Google Images for inspiration. □️ I used GIMP, a Photoshop alternative, to craft a Windows 8-like wallpaper.
